Service No. 1

Websites worthy of your ambitions

I design websites that do your business justice.

The point

A first impression only happens once!

A hand holding a phone that shows the see-no-evil monkey emoji

These days, it’s made in under ten seconds, on a phone screen.

An outdated, slow or poorly built site tells the wrong story before you say a word. A neglected site raises doubts, and a missing one sends business to your competitors. A carefully built site makes your case around the clock, even while you sleep, and draws in the right clients before they ever meet you.

I build sites like that. Each one is unique, tailored to your field and your ambitions.

  1. 01

    A bespoke visual direction

Palette, typography, icons and a consistent visual language, all chosen to reflect who you are and reach the people you serve. Nothing comes off the shelf.

  2. 02

    A clear structure

The sitemap is built around your visitors, with a clear page hierarchy, a logical user journey and calls to action right where they belong. Every page earns its place and prompts a next step.

  3. 03

    Carefully crafted copy

I refine every line until it says what matters, in a voice that sounds like you. Clarity, precision, and rhythm all get the attention they deserve.

  4. 04

    A modern build

Clean code, fast load times, full mobile optimization and compliance with current accessibility and SEO standards. Search engines judge your site too, not just your visitors.

  5. 05

    A site you run yourself

Edit your copy, publish articles and swap out images without waiting on me or paying an extra invoice. Prefer to delegate those updates? A maintenance plan covers them.

  6. 06

    A full launch

Hosting set up in your name, your domain connected, professional email configured if you need it, SSL certificates installed. You own everything, with no vendor lock-in.

  7. 07

    Hands-on training

I train you in one session, by video call or in person, whichever you prefer. Video sessions are recorded so you can revisit them, and you also get a written guide tailored to your project. You walk away fully self-sufficient.

The words

Your site arrives fully written.

Two hands type on a laptop keyboard next to a potted plant

Nokaba designs websites and writes the words that go on them. Every site I deliver comes with all its copy, in French and English, written for your field and reworked to fit your business.

That covers your service descriptions, advice pages, FAQ and the wording on your forms, right down to the message people see after they hit Send. I shape all of it around your line of work, with the words your clients use and a voice that sounds like you. The English version starts life in English and meets the same standard as the French.

My approach draws on two strengths:

  1. 01

Today’s most advanced AI tools help me get a first draft down quickly. Then I take over: I check every piece and rewrite it until it speaks to your clients the way you would yourself.

  2. 02

My writing has drawn praise everywhere I’ve worked. Behind it are years of French literary studies and nine years heading an organization’s written and spoken communications for one target group. Both taught me what the right word is worth.

Written for you alone

The copy on your site exists nowhere else. I write it from the specifics of your business and your own story, and no other client ever gets the same text. You can keep it exactly as I first deliver it, or we can fine-tune it together. Either way, you’re spared the blank page, where so many website projects get stuck.

What happens next?

Once your site is live, I can keep writing for you: blog posts, seasonal tips, answers to the questions your clients ask, columns and more. Fresh content on a regular schedule helps you rank in search and keeps you in touch with your clients, without eating into your time. You can book me per article or on a monthly retainer.

Take a stroll through Belhavre’s websites: every line you read there shows what your own site could say from the day it goes live.

What I don’t build

Let me be upfront about what falls outside my scope. I don’t build complex technical platforms, enterprise portals with advanced databases, multi-user applications or large internal management systems. That work calls for specialized engineering expertise.

If your project needs that kind of infrastructure, I can refer you to my partner OyengaMedia, which specializes in software engineering and can build it. I’ll then coordinate with their team to integrate it into the site I design for you.

My expertise lies in designing websites and portals with lightweight, fully functional tools, building a strong visual identity and structuring clear, optimized communications.

In both languages

Bilingual from the start

Every site can launch in French and English from day one, with the same care given to each language. In New Brunswick, serving both language communities is no afterthought. The francophone community here is large and active, and often frustrated at being offered English-only sites or sloppy translations. A fully bilingual site, where each language gets equal attention, tells your Acadian clients that you respect them and that they matter to you, even when they’re bilingual themselves.

Industries

Who I build for

Rooted in francophone New Brunswick, I work in French and in English, with no sloppy translation from one version to the other. Each sector has its own site in the Belhavre universe, which you can tour on request.

01

Cooperatives, non-profits & associations

A member-driven organization often has less than two minutes to win over a donor or a partner. State the mission clearly, make membership and donations easy, and a curious visitor becomes a committed supporter.

02

Institutions & public services

A small municipality that gives residents clear access to its services shows that it is both professional and approachable. A well-designed site takes routine requests off its staff’s plate and makes every resident feel valued, two essentials for any public institution that represents its community.

03

Culture & community life

A cultural or community centre often runs several programs under one roof, each with its own audience. Give every program its place, guide each visitor to what interests them, and you fill the seats and grow your base of regulars.

04

Professional practices & firms

A firm earns trust through its image first. Present each partner with dignity, explain your practice areas in plain language, offer a reassuring first point of contact, and you tip the balance between the prospective client who calls you and the one who calls a competitor.

05

Health & wellness

A patient who finds information quickly and books online is already halfway through your door. Present your team, your specialties and the practical details clearly, and you reassure patients before their first appointment and spare your front desk the same phone calls day after day.

06

Family dining & events

Long before guests walk through your door or taste a single dish, they have sized you up on a screen. A site that captures the atmosphere of the place, showcases your craft and makes reservations effortless turns curiosity into a visit, a visit into a preference, and a preference into a recommendation.

07

Fine dining & experience-led businesses

People choose a fine dining restaurant for an evening that matters, and they often decide on a screen, long before they reserve. Convey the feel of the dining room, showcase the chef and the producers behind the menu, and you affirm the restaurant’s standing and make guests want to book a table.

08

Tourism & leisure

A boater or a family on vacation compares several options before deciding where to spend the summer. Present your slips, amenities, rates and activities clearly, make booking simple, and you fill the season and bring regulars back year after year.

09

Specialty shops & community spaces

A specialty shop thrives on a community of fans who come back for new releases as much as for each other. Announce new stock and in-store events, give everyone a reason to drop by, and loyal customers become a true community.

10

Artists & makers

An artist sells a signature as much as the work itself. Share your artistic approach, showcase your portfolio, make it easy to get in touch, and your workshop, studio or showroom stays open to every curious visitor, day or night.

11

Care & support

No family chooses a funeral home or a seniors’ residence on a whim: the decision rests on the trust it inspires. A site that presents its services with sensitivity, gives clear answers at a difficult time and embodies the values of the establishment becomes the first act of care itself.

In Belhavre:The funeral cooperative

12

Regional businesses & SMEs

In a family business, every customer is also a relationship. Put your company’s story front and centre, introduce the people who keep it running, make your offering clear, and that closeness comes through at first glance.

Don’t see your sector on this list? Write to me. My approach adapts to many situations, and I couldn’t possibly list them all here.

The pace

A typical timeline

8 to 12

weeks, from the first conversation to launch

A full website project takes eight to twelve weeks, from the first conversation to launch. The exact timeline depends on how quickly you can turn around feedback and on the scope of the project. I take on only a handful of projects at a time, which guarantees each one this pace and a polished finish.

What comes next

A no-obligation first conversation

Have a project in mind? Start by talking it over. I’ll give you private access to one of the Belhavre sites, so you get a precise sense of what I deliver, and then we’ll schedule a no-obligation first conversation.
