The intent
Don’t own your communications, and someone else will own your story.
Key messages get lost. Materials pull in every direction, and the brand image blurs. Teams burn out on work with no clear purpose, and the audience drifts toward other voices.
Think it through, and everything shifts. Messages do their job, each piece backs up the next, and the organization moves faster because it knows where it’s headed.
I consult on set mandates, with defined deliverables and a schedule I keep to, so you can structure, overhaul or steer your communications and keep them consistent over the long term.

The mandates
Three kinds of mandate
Each one comes with its own scope, deliverables and timeline, all settled before the work starts.
Audit and recommendations
Ready to take stock of where your communications stand, and figure out where to steer them next?
I conduct a full assessment of your materials, your digital presence, your messaging and your positioning relative to your audiences and your competitors. You receive a written report with findings, priorities and concrete recommendations, along with an action plan you can put to work right away.
It’s ideal for organizations that grew fast without stopping to structure their communications, or that sense a change of course is needed without knowing where to start.
- Typical length
- Four to six weeks
- Deliverables
- A complete audit package: a detailed report and an operational action plan. Full details are set out in your custom quote.
Overhaul and alignment
Need to rethink your communications from the ground up, bring several entities under one banner, overhaul your brand identity or align your messaging with a new strategic direction?
I lead this project alongside you, from defining the new positioning to producing the priority materials, and I stay involved until they’re rolled out. We agree on the exact scope before the mandate begins. A new website or a website redesign is a separate mandate.
It suits organizations in transition: those that merge, change their name, open up to new audiences or adopt a new vision that must come through in all their materials.
- Typical length
- Three to six months
- Deliverables
- A complete overhaul package: strategic positioning, brand guidelines, redesigned priority materials and a rollout schedule. Full details are set out in your custom quote.
Ongoing support
You don’t need a full-time communications manager, but you’d value an outside perspective and steady support on your decisions and output?
I support you over the long term, on a monthly retainer scoped in advance and sized to your actual workload and your priorities. That retainer can also include regular editorial content.
It suits organizations that want to structure their communications without hiring, or that want outside expertise to support an existing in-house team.
- Typical length
- A six-month to one-year commitment, renewable
- Deliverables
- A monthly progress report, structured around the retainer you choose. Full details are set out in your custom quote.
The practice
How I work
My consulting work follows the same approach as my web design practice. You get a single point of contact, close attention, a careful finish on every deliverable and full transparency about what’s agreed, what’s underway and what’s still ahead.
I come in to structure, strengthen or steer your communications, whichever the mandate calls for. I don’t handle live crisis communications, online reputation management, or social media content. That work belongs to dedicated specialists.
Editorial structure, brand consistency, a medium-term communications strategy, team alignment around one clear, confident message: that is where I come in, and where I do my best work.
Industries
The sectors I serve
Based in New Brunswick, I advise clients in French and deliver their written materials in both English and French, if needed.
My consulting mandates are designed mainly for non-profit organizations, economic development agencies, professional associations, cooperatives, firms and independent professionals, as well as family businesses and small and mid-sized businesses that want to structure their communications without creating a full-time in-house position.

What comes next
Every mandate begins with a conversation.
We start with a no-obligation first conversation. You walk me through your organization, I listen, and together we decide whether a mandate makes sense.
If it does, I send you a written proposal: the scope, the deliverables, the schedule and the fees.
